C/R: DECOMPOSED BODY OF MAN,56,FOUND IN RIVER AT EKUMFI AKOTSI

 

The decomposed body of a 56 year old man has been found in a river under a bridge at Ekumfi Akotsi in the Ekumfi District of the Central Region.

Report gathered by Linda Mensah revealed that, the man Ekow Quainoo popularly know to the people of the Ekumfi Akotsi as Osor has been missing for sometime now.

Report says, after his disappearance for sometimes now, resident conducted a search on him but he was nowhere to be found.

Report says, somebody was going to the river side to cut bamboo when he saw the lifeless body of the deceased floating on the River which is under a bridge on Thursday October 13,2022 in the Morning.

The matter was reported to the Ekumfi Esiohyia Police for an investigation.

Speaking in an interview with some of the Residents in the Ekumfi Akotsi Community, they thought he has gone to his hometown Yamoransa so they stopped searching for him untill he was found dead floating on water.

Some resident said,they can’t tell what might have caused his death in the river.

According to them, the deceased was a very kind and friendly to everyone in the community including Children so his demise has shocked them everyone.

Some of the Unit Committee Members in the area are shock to hear the sad news as the deceased was not having any issue with anybody in the community.

According to them, they can’t for now tell whether someone kill him and dumped him in the river or it his natural death.

The Assembly Member of Ekumfi Akotsi Electoral Area, Hon, Nuredeen Otoo also said, he had a distress calls about the incident which made him quickly reported the issue to the Esiohyia Police to retrieved the body.

He then advised the general public to always tell their relatives their whereabouts and also inform their relatives when going to anytime.

Meanwhile the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Saltpond government Hospital Mortuary for Preservation pending further investigations.
